ReviewWhilst we have visited much of West Wales already this was our first visit to the Angle peninsula. Ty Haf is a wonderful place and provided us with a comfortable and welcoming base for several days of exploring. This peninsula is spectacular in terms of it's coastline and history, and Ty Haf allows you to experience some of this history first hand and stay in a unique piece of Welsh history. It has been converted with exceptional sympathy into a lovely holiday home that has everything you could need. Look out of the windows and you'll see sea, cliffs, ships, clouds, ponies and sunsets. Look inside and you've got a home that has all you need; superbly well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, divine bathrooms, little touches that make a difference in every room and a warm welcome from your hosts. Jennie and Simon are great and you feel truly looked after. They even checked on us when a storm one night caused a short power interruption. When you stay at Ty Haf you fall asleep to the sound of....peace! You wake to birds, sun and the ponies roaming in the fields. In two minutes you are on the coastal path and can walk easily to west Angle beach which is stunning and has a cafe right on the beach front. Into the village and you'll find two pubs, a village shop that does take out coffee and apparently an amazing fish and chip Friday! Within easy driving distance are places such as Carew Castle, St Anne's head, Stackpole Quays, Barafundle Bay, Saundersfoot and Tenby and a little further afield you can reach St David's and even more amazing places to admire the views. We adored Ty Haf and I am about to book again for next Spring. If you want a peaceful location but within easy distance for many different activities and places to visit, with excellent accommodation and hosts and to live in a little bit of history for a week this is the place for you.
Owners ResponseEmma, thank you so much for such a wonderful review. We are thrilled that you had such a great time and look forward to welcoming you both back next year. If you can't find a dog to bring with you we'll happily lend you Dylan for the week! Best Wishes Jennie and Simon

ReviewWe know Pembrokeshire well and always stay in self catering cottages when on holiday. This was easily the best we have experienced both in terms of location and the accommodation. The cottage itself was perfect. From the outside it is simply an old military block but inside it is a luxury cottage. Jennie and Simon are thoughtful hosts who anticipate your needs. It is really rare to find a cottage where the kitchen equipment actually allows you to cook properly from scratch. There is a large private area which is secure for dogs but you also have access to 50 acres of land owned by the family. It is a matter of a minute or two to get to the coast path and to spectacular views over the Haven. The village of Angle is an easy walk and both Pembroke and Freshwater West are within easy drives but you do have a real sense of privacy and of peace. Ty Haf is off the beaten track but if you are looking to completely detach from your day to day life and lose yourself in beautiful scenery you will not find anywhere better - all this and WiFi! We have never been back to the same cottage twice before but on this occasion we are already planning a return booking and have recommended it to a number of friends and family.
Owners ResponseLucy, thank you for taking the time to write such a nice review. We are really pleased that you found Ty Haf to be luxurious and well equipped. We have tried to keep a sense of the site's unique military history whilst also providing a comfortable home from home. We look forward to seeing you both (and Kia) in 2015. Kind Regards Jennie and Simon

ReviewWe came across Ty Haf after a web search and were particularly intrigued by the building's history. It was relatively easy to find and were greeted by 2 grazing horses (along with a stunning coastal view). The apartment was spotlessly clean and little touches like welsh cakes and tea/coffee/milk were gratefully received after the journey (with an 8 year old and 6 month old!). The kitchen was really well equipped (including dishwasher), the bedrooms a lovely size (and we had the travel cot up in one); and little touches like a picnic rug, high chair, shopping bag and crab lines to borrow made packing the car a bit lighter. The honesty shop was handy too! There are lovely coastal path walks from the apartment and Angle beach is less than 5 minutes in the car. If I am honest, I don't want to gush too much because it will get too booked up!!! Thank you to Jennie and Simon for providing a fabulous base for our first holiday as a family of 4!
Owners ResponseHayley, thank you for taking the time to write such a great review. We are really pleased that you all enjoyed your holiday and we would love to welcome you back in 2015. Best Wishes Jennie and Simon

ReviewA very well appointed and equipped property with everything in pristine condition it being the first year of letting. A beautifully isolated and quiet location with panoramic views of the stunning coast only a few minutes walk from the house and coastal footpaths in both directions where even in August we met very few people. Beautiful big comfy beds with excellent mattresses and pillows. Two bathrooms with great showers. Very well equipped kitchen/sitting room all light airy and modern.
Owners ResponseGillian, thank you so much for your kind words. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us and found Ty Haf to be well appointed and comfortable. We have a number of improvements planned for 2015 and with regular maintenance plan to keep Ty Haf pristine for many years to come. We hope you get the chance to visit us again. Kind Regards Jennie and Simon.
