Our second visit to East Blockhouse as we loved it so much the first time. The accommodation is exceptionally clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Jennie and Simon are excellent hosts, friendly and responsive. Love the peace and quiet, with beautiful coastal views and walking distance to the superb café on the beach.

Second visit and we've already booked for next year, so I guess that says it all!! One of the best dog friendly places we have stayed in  which  provides clean comfortable , well planned accommodation for 'their humans' too. Simon and Jenny are the very best owners, always there if needed but unobtrusive. As Simon said to us ''this is your home now, just call if you need us"

Add in the beautiful views, the peace and the lovely places to visit including a beach within walking distance. Why look elsewhere?

Now then, to start! this is our second trip in 2025, we stayed in the other accomodation which we left a great (I think) review see May 25.

The accommodation was up to the excellent standard which Simon and Jennie provide, Very clean and great sundry items, each bedroom was in very good order with USB points in the main bedroom and en suite, ideal for the disabled. (Point to note), there is a small step leading into the property which can be easily overcome. The other bathroom has a bath WOW! The wife thought she was in heaven, (after me of course)! The outside area is well kept and is mostly lawned, there is a bench and table to enjoy the great sunsets (we were lucky). If you dont mind a drive out this place is your oyster. The garden is well enclosed, (thank you Simon) and is large enough to let your dogs do their thing, I cannot, cannot recommend this place enough for a complete chill out, (even if Storm Amy made it presence felt!), no issues there then. Thank you Simon and Jenn for making our stay most warming. Please know peeps nothing is too much for them, we have booked for 2026. (Carslberg for those in the know). Gary and Laura and dogs. xxx

This was our 5th visit to East Blockhouse and as expected the accommodation was well equipped, clean and very doggy friendly. Some accommodations say they are dog friendly,  but this one really is, with sofa covers, well fenced in garden area, bowls and doggy towels, making it stress free when travelling with our dogs.  We had a wonderful fortnight and came relaxed and refuelled.

Simon our host was quick to fix the front door handle when we managed to pull it off and, although we knew he was available if we needed him, he also allowed us our privacy and space. We can't thank you enough for another glorious stay and will be looking to book again in the future.
